What’s happening in the Black Sea right now has a massive importance for the maritime security as a whole – Andriy Zagorodniuk

The ongoing events in the Black Sea demand daily monitoring, given their ramifications extend well beyond the security architecture of the Black Sea basin

Andriy Zagorodniuk, Chairman of the Centre for Defence Strategies, Minister of Defence of Ukraine (2019-2020) made this statement during the discussion at the Second Black Sea Security Conference of the International Crimea Platform.

“We believe that what’s happening in the Black Sea right now has a massive importance not just for this war, but for, generally, maritime security as a whole. We do believe that it is worthwhile watching (the Black Sea – Ed.) almost every day, because something new is happening everyday there, which is completely changing the security architecture and generally the security environment around the world, not just in the Black Sea,” Andriy Zagorodniuk noted.
