We understood that attacks are possible, and they will not be tied to specific events in absolute terms – Natalia Humeniuk on enemy attack on Odesa
Enemy night shelling of Odesa is probably related to the “Grain Deal ” and not to the events in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of Security and Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Despite the fact that “retaliation” (claims – Ed.) were spreading from all propaganda outlets, we understood that attacks are possible, and they will not be tied to specific events in absolute terms” she said.
Natalia Humeniuk noted that it is not the first time the port infrastructure of Odesa region has been hit since russia began to spread messages about the termination of the “Grain Deal.”
“The enemy has been preparing, preparing for a long-long time. Missiles, including sea-based missiles, haven’t been used for a long time. But at the same time, we are observing that since they started their rhetoric about the termination of the “Grain Deal,” the port infrastructure of Odesa region has suffered more than one blow, and threats were coming from everywhere, and it was clear that the exact direction of the attack can be more or less predicted.” – she explained.
