We have more fuel than we need even in the worst blackouts – Serhiy Kuyun

Ukraine has enough fuel to meet the so-called generator fuel demand during power outages.

This was stated by Serhiy Kuyun, fuel market expert, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“Let’s say that up to 10%, this is specifically generator demand, even at its peak. This particularly applies to gasoline. For diesel, it’s much less, I think it’s less than 5%. To judge whether it’s a lot or a little, I can say that last year the fuel market had a surplus of at least 15%, and some traders put it at 20% or even 30%. This means that we have more fuel than we would ever need even during the worst blackouts,” Sergiy Kuyun explained.
