Ukrzaliznytsia is about to establish a representation office to the European Union in Brussels

Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) plans to set up an EU representative office in Brussels. This is important for the company, in particular in the context of European integration, as it will facilitate the fastest possible access and the ability to resolve issues promptly.

Oleksandra Vasylenko, Director of International Offices at PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, made this announcement during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“First, it’s about the European Union and access to European institutions. Since the issue of our company certification and European integration into the European market will require wide networking in Brussels, with representatives not only of the European Commission but also with representatives of our partner countries,” she explained.

Oleksandra Vasylenko also noted that besides the physical representation of Ukrzaliznytsia in Poland, the company currently has representatives in different countries, including the Baltic States, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, and Romania.

“These are four people who are currently abroad and solve both strategic issues of cooperation and operational issues on the spot. That is, if any problematic issues arise, such as delays in wagons or emergencies, they are there to resolve them as quickly as possible. Today, the largest warehouse, of course, is Poland,” she added.
