Ukroboronprom and NATO member country start first joint production of 120-mm mortar shells — Spokeswoman

Ukroboronprom State Concern announces the start of joint production of 120-mm mortar shells with one of the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance. Nataliya Sad, Spokeswoman of Ukroboronprom, commented on this landmark event during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“The 120-mm mortar shell is the most sought-after means of destruction. It hits targets from a mortar at a distance of up to 7 kilometers, the radius of damage is 25 to 60 meters, the radius of scattering of fragments is up to 250 meters. The mine is manufactured using modern technologies, which is enabled, in particular, by modern equipment from our partner countries. How does it differ from the 82 mm mine that we already announced, apart from the caliber? If the 82-mm mine is a uniquely Ukrainian product manufactured at foreign facilities, the 120-mm shell is a joint product. We worked on the production of this shell together with our partners. The 120-mm mortar shell is the first result of the joint production with one of the NATO members. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to receive it very soon,” — Sad said.
