Ukrenergo’s assets surged by nearly UAH 45 billion in 2023
In 2023, Ukrenergo saw a nearly UAH 45 billion increase in assets despite challenges in the nation’s power grid, according to an independent assessment.
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo made this statement, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Thanks to our successful grant acquisitions, particularly for the reconstruction of damaged substations and the establishment of new power lines, our asset value has notably appreciated. Deloitte conducted an independent evaluation this year, confirming a nearly UAH 45 billion increase in our assets. This signifies a substantial rise in the value of Ukrenergo, a state asset, amidst ongoing challenges such as shelling and power system complexities. It underscores our commitment to enhancing shareholder value, in this case, the state’s investment,” stated Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
He believes this outcome is positive and will enable us to secure funding for Ukraine’s energy sector in the future.
