Ukrainians view justice as foundational for reintegration processes – report results
According to Ukrainian citizens, the foundation of state-developed reintegration processes should be, above all, justice.
Daria Svyrydova, Partner at AzOnes, Member of the Advisory Council on De-occupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of the Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol under the President of Ukraine, made this statement during the presentation of the report on challenges related to the reintegration of de-occupied territories and memorialization, which was held at Media Center Ukraine.
“The recently conducted research confirms the key trend that we have observed since the start of the full-scale invasion — and even in the surveys that predate the full-scale invasion, — which is that the people expect the value of justice to be foundational in the reintegration processes, whatever the state develops,” said Daria Svyrydova.
It is worth noting that this report is based on the results of a series of in-depth interviews from the de-occupied territories as well as the findings from a national survey conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating” in the period from July 5 to 12, 2024.
