Ukrainians to have uninterrupted access to banks even in case of complete blackout: network with generators has already reached 2300 branches — Chair of the Board of the IABU
Ukrainian banks have prepared for potential challenges in the energy sector and are ready to provide access to banking products even in the event of a complete blackout. Olena Korobkova, Chair of the Board of the Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine (IABU), made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“More than 60 banks have joined Power Banking, an NBU-initiated joint banking network. It consists of 2300 branches. These are specialized branches equipped with additional generators, backup communication channels, and additional staff operating in 380 locations that span the country and are ready to provide services even during a complete blackout. Therefore, when it comes to the complex energy issues, it is important to understand that everyone will have uninterrupted access to banking products,” Korobkova said.
