Ukrainian marines secure Krynky and deny the enemy a foothold on Nestryha Island, says Dmytro Pletenchuk
The enemy recognizes its strategic importance and is trying to establish a presence on our right bank at Nestryha, but they have not succeeded,” Pletenchuksland.
Dmytro Pletenchuk, Head of the Center for Strategic Communications of the Defense Forces of the South, detailed this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“While we previously faced up to 20 assaults daily, there were 12 assaults yesterday. Half of these occurred in the Orikhiv sector and were unsuccessful, while the other half targeted the Kherson region—five assaults on Krynky and one attempt to storm Nestryha Island again. They (the Russians – ed.) failed once more at Nestryha Island. The aftermath of this attempt is too graphic for social media. As for Krynky, despite the settlement being devoid of buildings for cover, the marines still hold their ground. The enemy recognizes its strategic importance and is trying to establish a presence on our right bank at Nestryha, but they have not succeeded,” Pletenchuk noted.
