Ukrainian higher education establishments continue to train foreign students and work on their return
Prior to the full-scale war, Ukraine had a considerable number of foreign students, covering 1.5% of the world market, Serhii Babak, Chair of Verkhovna Rada’s Education, Science, and Innovations Committee said at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Currently, most foreign students have left our country. In the western part of Ukraine, foreign students continue their studies. Therefore, higher education establishments from other regions have decided to open their offices in safer areas in order to continue teaching such students full-time,” — he said.
Serhii Babak stressed that the return of foreign students in their former numbers is possible only after fulfilling a number of conditions and rebuilding the infrastructure.
