Ukrainian high school graduates can take the NMT in 33 countries

For three years in a row, assessments of high school graduates have been conducted both in Ukraine and abroad. Tetyana Vakulenko, director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, spoke about this at the Ukraine Media Center.

“This year, 33 countries are waiting for our graduates (to take the NMT—ed.) so that they can later enroll in Ukrainian universities,” she noted.

This year’s testing includes required subjects—Ukrainian, mathematics, and Ukrainian history. Elective subjects remain physics, chemistry, biology, geography, or one of the foreign languages.

“This year, the most popular subjects among test-takers are English and geography. Quite a few applicants are choosing biology, slightly fewer are choosing Ukrainian literature, and for two years in a row, the least popular subjects have been the natural sciences,” said Tetiana Vakulenko.

The expert emphasized that graduates must bring a valid ID with them.
