Ukrainian culture and media need immediate aid worth EUR 250 million — Oleksandr Tkachenko

Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine paid a working visit to a number of European countries. During the trip, he held meetings with Polish, French and German colleagues.

He made this statement at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“(I) informed my colleagues that the war in Ukraine is causing great losses to the cultural sector of life. We need immediate help for the culture and media of Ukraine in the amount of EUR 250 million,” — he said.

In addition, Oleksandr Tkachenko stated that he had a meeting with Audrey Azoulet, Director General of the UNESCO. The international organization also promises to expand its work in Ukraine.
