Ukraine to receive financial aid from governments of Japan and UK, negotiations underway with other countries – Serhii Marchenko
Ukraine is in active negotiations with a number of organizations and governments of foreign countries regarding the provision of assistance. There is already an understanding that there will be help and support from the government of Japan and the UK government.
Serhii Marchenko, Minister of Finance of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“We are also negotiating with the government of South Korea, the government of Canada and the governments of other G7 countries in order to form the necessary pool, because this is actually one of the key tasks today – to obtain an opportunity to build a stable economy, a stable financial situation, a stable macroeconomic environment. And this also creates the necessary basis for our Armed Forces to be able to perform their work,” the Minister added.
Serhii Marchenko also noted that, in turn, Ukraine, together with key partners, is working out the necessary steps for the reforms that need to be implemented in the near future and in the medium term.
