Ukraine’s National Bank reveals inflation forecast for 2024
Currently, inflation in the country is at 5%. According to the forecasts of the National Bank of Ukraine, it will begin to increase slightly in the second half of the year and by the end of the year the inflation may reach a little more than 8%.
Vasyl Furman, Deputy Chairman of the NBU Board, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Inflation is currently at 5%, according to the forecasts of the National Bank, a slight increase is expected in the second half of the year, and it will reach a little over 8% by the end of the year. But this is the forecast of the National Bank for now, the forecasts can change, usually the National Bank makes forecasts four times during the year, and they can pleasantly surprise us,” Vasyl Furman said.
