Ukraine can offset possible losses from interrupted diesel fuel supplies from Hungary and Slovakia and have a surplus – Serhii Kuiun
Today, Ukraine has sufficient capacity to avoid any impact from potential diesel supply disruptions from Hungary and Slovakia.
Serhii Kuiun, fuel market expert made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
“Today there are talks that Hungary and Slovakia can block the supply of diesel fuel to us, but our capacity for supply from other directions is at least 50%. Not only will 10% losses have no impact on us, but we can offset them and still have a surplus. And this is precisely the consequence of building this — I would say — unique new supply system, because no one in Europe had believed that it was even possible to provide for such a large country ‘on wheels,’ as they say. But we did it, and we see that this market has already passed several tests, including blackouts. And we see that it is possible to supply even more than we need,” Serhii Kuiun explained.
