Ukraine and Europe have prepared for an embargo on Russian oil products: our country is chock-full of fuel and have a constant drop in prices — Serhii Kuiun
In January 2023, the balance of Ukraine’s fuel market exceeded the situation in pre-war January last year. Serhii Kuiun, Director of A95 Consulting Group, spoke about this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.
“Today, we have a prosperous supply of fuel, and we are very confident moving into the spring season. Since October, the government has discussed with market participants the creation of such stocks. Everyone analyzed that the embargo on the import of Russian oil products to Europe will start on February 5.
Of course, there were some concerns that there might be a shortage. We marked the date of February 5 very symbolically — it was a decline in prices at gas stations. We were very properly prepared: Europe is flooded with fuel, and we are flooded with fuel. Today, the country’s largest retail chains have more than 30 days’ worth of fuel. And we continue to supply fuel regularly,” said Kuiun.
