Twice as fast: NAPC presents new functionality for filling in declarations
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has unveiled a new functionality for filling out declarations. It is a partial autocomplete that uses information from 14 state registers. The innovation significantly reduces the time needed to fill in the declaration and minimizes the number of technical errors.
The new development was presented during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“NACP has done a tremendous amount of work to create 20 joint documents with the holders of 14 registries, which now allow 209 fields in 9 of the 16 sections of the declaration to be automatically filled in on behalf of the declarant. In addition, if irrelevant information is found in the registries, the declarant has the opportunity to take steps to update it,” said Viktor Pavlushchyk, Head of NACP.
According to Yulia Kulikova, Head of the NACP’s Department for Full Scrutiny, the new feature can reduce the time needed to complete the declaration by at least half.
It will be especially helpful for new declarants.
Yulia Kulikova explained that the auto-fill process involves three steps: collecting information for the declaration using the Data for Declaration feature, selecting the declaration items and verifying the accuracy of the data, and confirming the transfer of the selected items to the draft declaration before submitting it.
“Once you’ve completed these important steps, requested the information, selected what you need to transfer, verifying the accuracy of the data, reviewed it, and removed duplicates, your declaration is essentially ready to be filled out,” she explained.
According to the head of the NACP’s Department of Full Scrutiny, the auto-fill function is not mandatory, and if the declarant does not consider it necessary, they can ignore it and fill out the declaration manually.
Yulia Kulikova highlighted the key benefits of the new feature, including significant time savings, minimizing the risk of errors and typos, and the ability to proactively correct errors in the registries.
