Turkey is buying Russian oil and stolen Ukrainian grain, security-track experts say

Turkey is the second-largest seaborne buyer of Russian oil after India, Andrii Klymenko, head of the monitoring group at the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies and editor-in-chief of BlackSeaNews, said at the International Forum of the Crimea Platform Expert Network.

“In doing so, it shows it is not our friend and not our ally,” Klymenko said. “It hands its ally Putin the chance to earn enormous sums.”

He said ships carrying grain stolen from occupied Crimea are putting into Turkish ports, and asked what the statements of Turkish politicians are worth against that.
