Today, the coasts of the Odesa region are off-limits for leisure tourists – Serhii Bratchuk
Last year, a joint order of the Odesa Oblast Military Administration and the military command prohibited entry and exit and the stay of Ukrainian citizens, foreigners, and stateless persons on the Black Sea coast, as well as in bays, inland sea waters, and beach areas located within the coastal protection zone of the Black Sea and in the Odesa region.
It was emphasized by Serhii Bratchuk, Head of the Public Council under the Odesa Oblast Military Administration, during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
He noted that the order adopted last year is still in action. “Given that the Black Sea is our front line today and is mined, we appeal to citizens and remind them to understand the current situation. Unfortunately, the war is still ongoing,” said Bratchuk
In addition, he emphasized that the military command continues to monitor the security situation, and only then will further decisions be made on the issue of the possibility of recreation in the coastal public access.
“Our military also expects the Odesa City Hall to provide appropriate proposals for organizing recreation at these locations. There will be proposals, the military command will work, and an appropriate decision will be made. It is the way things are at the moment.”
