“There is a lack of seamstresses at Ukrainian enterprises,” Defense Ministry on defense order

The Ministry of Defense continues to supply armor and material support at a stable and steady pace, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Maliar said at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“In May 17-24, the units received over 19,000 bulletproof vests, more than 12,000 helmets, more than 9,000 pairs of shoes and 19,000 uniforms. Another 7,000 bulletproof vests will be issued within the day. The Ministry of Defense provides a reserve for at least two brigades. There is a special need for the supply of uniforms. Mostly, Ukrainian companies are the ones that receive orders. However, there is a problem of the lack of qualified staff, (mainly) seamstresses,” — she said.

Hanna Maliar noted that the Defense Ministry had established contacts for the supply of tents for the soldier to live in the field: “When choosing suppliers, we are very careful about quality requirements. A shipment of 480 tents is currently being unloaded, and over 300 more are expected to be delivered immediately after. ”
