There can be no electronic draft notices at the moment – Fedir Venislavskyi
The issue of electronic draft notices is not currently being raised.
Fedir Venislavskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“When the bill was under consideration at the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, we actually discussed all sensitive issues for several months. One of them was precisely the possibility or impossibility of sending draft notices through electronic means of communication. A consensual decision was made, and this issue is not being raised at this moment. By removing this issue, we gained support for this bill among all political forces. Therefore, the position voiced by the Ministry of Defense, and the position of the Committee, and the position of the Office of the President, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is that there can be no electronic draft notices at this moment,” he explained.
According to Fedir Venislavskyi, the issue of amending the laws to include notifications or electronic draft notices is not being raised at the moment.
“Moreover, this can’t happen without making changes to the relevant laws, such as those on mobilization training and mobilization, military duty and military service, or the unified state register of persons liable for military service, conscripts, and reservists. However, there are currently no plans to amend these laws to allow for the possibility of notifications or draft notices through any electronic means of communication,” he added.
