There are currently no threats of the offensive towards Kyiv or of large-scale military action resumption in Ukraine — Venislavskyi

For a while, in the media, there has been quite a discussion of a possible attack on Kyiv and other major cities of Ukraine, which is supposed to take place closer to the anniversary date of the full-scale invasion. Fedir Venislavskyi, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, Presidential Representative to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine commented on this information during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Regarding the hypothetical possibility of a Russian offensive on the capital of Ukraine or other areas from different directions, details are as follows. Just today, we heard representatives of the entire intelligence community of Ukraine at a closed-door meeting of the Committee. At the moment, there are no signs of the formation of offensive or strike groups either in the territory of the Republic of Belarus or in all other territories except for the eastern part of the country —  Luhansk, Donetsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Kupiansk, and partly in the southern part of the country in the Zaporizhzhia-Mykolaiv direction. We are keenly aware of the actual state of affairs regarding numbers, weapons, readiness, or unreadiness.  Currently, there are no threats of a repeat of any large-scale military actions scenario, except for the eastern and southern directions,” — Venislavskyi said.
