There are 10,000 LGBT service members in Ukraine, 99% of whom do not come out—Anna Sharygina 

This year, service members will also join the “Equality March.” Their numbers will not be significant, as a large number of LGBT service members are carrying out combat missions on the front lines. This was stated by Anna Sharygina, co-founder of the Kharkiv women’s association “Sfera” and “PrideHub,” during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“About 10,000 people (military personnel—ed.) are part of the LGBT community. 99% of them keep their identity private for security reasons,” she said.
