The parade in Moscow showed that Russia is losing ground – New Europe Center

Putin traveled to the meeting in Beijing from a rather weak position. However, China lacks the political will to intervene in the war so that Moscow can continue to undermine the Western world. 

Natalia Plaksienko-Butyrska, a senior analyst at the New Europe Center and an expert on East Asia, spoke about this at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“Putin has a weak position within the country. The parade served as a demonstration of his weak position not only domestically but also internationally. This is yet another indication that Russia is not only failing to achieve its goals but is also losing ground,” the analyst noted. 

According to her, during the talks in China, the parties failed to reach an agreement on a number of issues, particularly regarding Taiwan and rare earth metals.
