The operational situation in Kharkiv Oblast between October 2 and 8: 54 civilians, including 2 children, killed by the Russian invaders
Yesterday in Kharkiv Media Hub, another briefing was held by the spokesman of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, Yevhen Vasylenko, who spoke about the operational situation that occurred in the period from October 2 to 8 in the Kharkiv region.
Thus, according to Yevhen Vasylenko, over the past week, employees of the Kharkiv Garrison State Emergency Service made 228 trips under the “Alert” signal, 20 of which were related to the hostilities taking place on the territory of the Kharkiv region. In another 55 cases, rescuers went to road accidents, to help the population and to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling. 8 people were rescued from the fires. 9 people were rescued from the rubble due to the destruction caused by the russian hits. 54 civilians died in a week, including one child.
During the period from October 2 to 8, nearly 500 explosive objects were neutralized by sappers of the State Emergency Service.
Yevgeny Vasylenko noted that during the past week, representatives of the unified detachment of the State Emergency Service continued to inspect and, if necessary, demine the de-occupied and affected territories of the Kharkiv region as a result of Russian aggression. Thus, since the beginning of the great war, 35 pyrotechnic calculations and 71 units of special equipment inspected more than 3.7 thousand hectares of territory, almost 2.7 thousand km of power lines, discovered and neutralized more than 79.5 thousand ammunition and other dangerous objects.
According to the spokesman of the State Emergency Service of the Kharkiv region, two civilians were victims of explosions on unknown objects in the period from October 2 to 8. Unfortunately, a 61-year-old man was killed, and another person was injured by the explosion.
Also during the briefing, the spokesperson of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region talked about the departures of rescuers related to enemy shelling. In particular, the speaker focused on the rocket attack by the occupiers on the village of Groza of the Shevchenkove community, which became the most massive in terms of the number of casualties in the Kharkiv region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia. On October 5, the russian “Iskander” hit a cafe where local residents were. As a result of the terrorist attack, at least 52 people died, including 1 child and 6 people were injured. 13 units of fire rescue and special equipment and 75 personnel of the State Emergency Service were involved in emergency rescue operations.
