The occupiers began deporting people who refuse to take russian ID’s – Shidna pravozahysna grupa

8 such cases are already known. Although the effect of Putin’s decree on the forced deportation of those who refuse russian citizenshop comes into effect only on July 1. Vira Yastrebova, director of the “Shidna Pravozahisna grupa” (Eastern Human Rights Group), told about this at a briefing in the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa.

As she said, putin signed the decree on forced deportation on April 27, 2023.

“It is already known about the first cases of forced deportation of people from the Luhansk region who refused to write renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship, as well as to receive passports of the russian federation. We are talking about 8 people from Sorokyne (ex-Krasnodon), Antrazyt, and Rovenki, who were sent to remote corners of the Russian Federation – Kemerovo Region, Tyumen Region, Tomsk Region. All property of the deportees was also nationalized,” said the human rights activist.

She also added that the occupiers plan to deport people who do not want to renounce Ukrainian citizenship.
