The Military Ombudsman’s Office was officially launched in Ukraine and received over 320 appeals in just two days
Within three months of the law being drafted, the Military Ombudsman’s Office was successfully established and is now operational. Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska), the Military Ombudsman of Ukraine, announced this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Starting today, the Military Ombudsman’s Office has officially launched in Ukraine. Like all state bodies, we are operating under a limited budget. Therefore, we will not be able to hire the maximum number of staff. However, the workload is significant. Just on Saturday and Sunday, we received over 320 appeals. Even before the office formally opened, we were receiving 120 to 130 appeals per day from service members and their families,” she noted.
Olha Reshetylova emphasized that, with the Office’s launch, they expect the number of appeals to increase further.
For reference, the Military Ombudsman’s Office is a permanent body established in 2025 to protect the rights of service members, reservists, and mobilized personnel. It operates under the President of Ukraine. Appeals can be submitted via email at [email protected].
