The labor market is facing a shortage in almost all highly specialized professions
Last year, the balance of supply and demand in the labor market was restored. However, in terms of competition for a single vacancy, there are significantly fewer specialists than before the full-scale invasion.
This was stated by Vladyslav Greziev, CEO and founder of the recruitment agency Lobby X, at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“The number of job offers from employers, according to the statistics of colleagues on larger platforms covering all sectors of the labor market, has recovered in absolute terms. However, the competition for a single vacancy is much lower than before the full-scale invasion. This is because a large part of the working-age population has left the country, or these people remain in temporarily occupied territories. There is no way to replace them, and at the same time we have to replenish the defense forces. As a result, the general trend shows a shortage in almost all highly specialized and highly intellectual professions,” he said.
Among the in-demand professions identified based on the company’s focus areas, there is a notable need for communications specialists, digital experts, marketers, as well as for business development and sales professionals.
