The first cyberwar in the world is happening now between russia and Ukraine – Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine

Yurii Shchyhol, Head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, said during a briefing at Ukraine Media Center that the first cyberwar in human history was happening now between russia and Ukraine.

According to him, the entire IT community has now united to defeat the enemy on the cyber front. The main target of hacker activists is the enemy’s military infrastructure.

At the same time, the world’s leading companies, in particular, Microsoft and Oracle, are helping Ukraine to withstand enemy’s cyber-attacks and attacks on the telecommunications infrastructure. Critical infrastructure facilities will now have uninterrupted connection thanks to the launch of Starlink in Ukraine.

The head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection also urged Ukrainians to adhere to digital hygiene: not to open suspicious links, not to spread spam and unverified information.
