The Expo 2030 Odesa project is one of the elements of the National Economic Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 – Odesa Oblast Military Administration

This was announced by Roman Hrygoryshyn, Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, during a Media Center Ukraine Odesa briefing.

According to the official, more than 19 million tourists will be able to visit the World Expo in Odesa, including more than 14 million tourists from abroad.

Grigorishin said that Expo 2030 is expected to be a flagship project for the entire south of Ukraine. In particular, to open flights to Mykolaiv and Izmail, where it is planned to renew the airport and reconstruct the runway. Another goal is to create a new line of high-speed railway communication with the Ukrainian capital.

Despite the war, the Odesa region remains an essential transport and logistics hub for Ukrainian exports. In 2022, the city exceeded the export of goods compared to the previous year: in January-July 2022, the growth rate of export of goods of the Odessa region reached the highest indicator in the country – 159.3%.
