The blockade of Ukrainian ports will affect hundreds of millions of people around the world – First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi told during a briefing at Ukraine Media Center that hundreds of millions of people around the world would not receive food unless russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports was lifted in the near future.
According to the official, the main maritime transport hubs of Ukraine are currently blocked, so Ukraine will not be able to fully export agro-industrial products. This will certainly affect the world market, as Ukraine has been providing food to hundreds of millions of people.
«Ukraine has been ensuring global food security. We fed hundreds of millions of people. We continue to do everything necessary to ensure that these consumers are confident in the safety of our products. We are currently working on changes to export chains that are currently blocked. However, without fighting the aggressor and without opening the ports, we will not be able to feed hundreds of millions of people, only dozens,» Taras Vysotskyi indicated.
