The biggest challenges for the Ukrainian language remain bilingualism in education and the service sector – Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language 

Although Ukrainians are increasingly choosing to use Ukrainian in their daily communication, there are still challenges that need to be addressed. In particular, these include bilingualism in education and the service sector. Olena Ivanovska, Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, spoke about this during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“I am concerned about bilingualism outside the classroom in education, latent resistance in segments of the service sector, and the unfortunate human factor in local government bodies,” she noted.
