Summer Vacations: Passenger Traffic at Ukraine’s Western Borders Begins to Increase – State Border Guard Service

The vast majority of passengers are mothers with children. Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“Over the first four days of summer, we’ve seen between 95,000 and over 100,000 border crossings per day. The vast majority are people leaving the country. In August, on the contrary, people will be returning home,” the spokesperson noted. 

Andriy Demchenko added that the highest passenger traffic is recorded at the border with Poland.
