Students of Odesa National University collected 40 thousand humanitarian aid for the victims from Kherson region
They also collected food for animal volunteers who rescued animals in Kherson region. This was announced at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa by Yevhen Yurash, head of the student professional committee of Odesa national university.
“We have joined in to help IDPs from Kherson region who suffered during the dam explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and raised more than 40 thousand hryvnias for them. We purchased baby food and hygiene products, distributed some of them to those already living in Odesa region, and took some to Kherson Oblast with the help of the Boxing Federation of Odesa region,” – Yurash said.
He added that on June 22, another batch of aid was sent to Kherson region, and the students also collected food and gave it to animal volunteers who rescue animals from Kherson region.
In addition, students helped with cleaning the territory of the National University of Odesa Polytechnic, which was damaged by missile attack on June 14.
