“Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Changes the Format of Its Work, with Expert Appraisal of the EU Accession Legislation in Every Committee,” Oleksandr Korniyenko

Oleksandr Korniyenko, First Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated this at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

The First Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that the parliament focused on the legislative process related to Ukraine’s accession to the EU, especially the seven requirements put forward by the European Commission.

“We are still working within the scope of the Association Agreement. Over 40 draft laws are in the process of being adopted. The Verkhovna Rada is changing the format of its activities to carry out the expert appraisal of the EU accession legislation in every Committee. So, we are working on this now,” he said.

Oleksandr Korniyenko stated that the parliament would not drag out the European integration work.
