The number of registered IDPs in Odesa oblast increased by 10,000 people during last month
From 123 thousand at the end of October to 133 thousand as of December 9. Of them, 37,800 are children, 4,700 are disabled. Oleksiy Chornyi, Head of the Coordination Humanitarian Headquarters of the Odesa oblast, said this during a briefing at the Media Center Odesa – Ukraine.
As he added, the flow of people is only increasing, especially after the liberation of Kherson and parts of its region – 110 000 IDPs were registered in September.
“Odesa does not officially accept temporarily displaced persons, the Kirovohrad region and the city of Kropivnytskyi are currently dealing with this, but people contact us every day, register, and ask for help with settlement,” said Oleksiy Chornyi.
74,937 IPD’s are registered in Odesa district, 13,870 people in Izmailskyi district, and 8,461 people in Podilskyi district.
