Livestock Industry Under the War Conditions: the Situation Is Critical in a Number of Regions — Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine

Due to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a critical situation in the livestock industry has arisen in a number of regions. Ihor Vishtak, Director of the Department for Agrarian Development of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, told this during the briefing at the Media Center Ukraine. In particular, since the beginning of the war, the number of cattle in Ukraine has decreased by about 20%.

“There are also cuts in the poultry population. Nevertheless, poultry stock recovers in quite high gear. For the cattle population, it will really take time,” Ihor Vishtak said.
