Energoatom rejects possibility of transmitting Ukrainian electricity to occupied territories

Petro Kotin, Acting President of Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Company made this statement at a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Technically, electricity produced in Ukraine cannot be transmitted to the occupied territories. Zaporizhzhia NPP is fully connected to the Ukrainian electrical grid. There are some lines leading to the Crimea, but they have been damaged ever since 2015. Their restoration requires a lot of work and a lot of money,” — Petro Kotin said.

Earlier, the acting President of Energoatom said that Ukraine controls the work of Zaporizhzhia NPP, but it is impossible to guarantee the security of the state and the world while russians are present on the plant.
