State Regulatory Service saves UAH 15 billion for business in 2023
Following the analysis and cost calculation of regulatory implementation, the State Regulatory Service refused to approve dozens of central executive authorities’ draft regulatory acts, thus saving UAH 15 billion for business.
Oleksiy Kucher, Head of the State Regulatory Service of Ukraine, made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.
“Considering that we filter the regulatory acts of all our regulators and can stop certain acts from passing, block those that hinder business operation, are inefficient, or impose excessive complexity or costs on business owners. We have the authority to block such acts. With those blocked acts we saved UAH 15 billion for our business,” he said.
According to Oleksiy Kucher, a total of 1,260 draft regulatory acts of central and local executive agencies as well as self-government bodies were reviewed in 2023.
At the regional level, more than 1,650 existing regulations underwent review – 41% were canceled and 21% were amended in accordance with the law on the principles of regulatory policy.
