Starting in August, Media Center Ukraine will transition to a project-based model
Going forward, the Media Center Ukraine team will focus on developing and delivering communication, media, and public-interest projects. At the same time, we are concluding our work as an open press center, which, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, has served as a platform for briefings, press conferences, and meetings between Ukrainian and international journalists.
Media Center Ukraine began its work in March 2022, during one of the most challenging periods in Ukraine’s modern history. From the very beginning, we worked alongside numerous Ukrainian and international organizations to create a space where the world could receive timely and reliable information about events in Ukraine.
Over the past four years, Media Center Ukraine has welcomed more than 4,000 journalists from around the world. We have served as a platform for government institutions, civil society, international partners, experts, and everyone working to ensure that Ukraine’s voice is heard.
Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa are cities where Ukrainian and international journalists have always been able to count on important events and professional support.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has been part of this shared effort: our partners, speakers, journalists, the Media Center Ukraine team, and our friends. Thanks to this collaboration, we have been able to organize hundreds of events and help the world better understand Ukraine during the war.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our partners at Ukrinform and Suspilne, without whose support we would not have achieved these results. We are also deeply grateful to the donors who supported Media Center Ukraine throughout different stages of its journey. In particular, we would like to thank the EU Delegation to Ukraine for providing institutional support to the project over the past two years.
A new chapter lies ahead. We will continue working on projects that support Ukrainian civil society and advance issues that are important to Ukraine, including the country’s accession to the European Union.
Thank you for your trust, your kind words, and your partnership. We look forward to working with you again on future projects.
