Slovak farmers initiated a protest at a crossing, impeding truck traffic – State Border Guard Service 

On Monday, the farmers staged their demonstration at the Uzhhorod checkpoint along the Slovak-Ukrainian border to highlight their grievances by halting truck traffic. 

Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, disclosed this development during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Today, at 1:00 PM, Slovak farmers commenced their campaign at the Uzhhorod checkpoint along the border with Ukraine, obstructing truck traffic to draw attention to their cause. However, our Slovak counterparts have indicated that such actions are limited to an hour. We are hopeful that this situation will soon come to a resolution. Nonetheless, we will closely monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly,” remarked Andrii Demchenko.
