Since the beginning of the marketing year, Ukraine has exported 31.7 million tons of grain and oilseeds – Denys Marchuk

To date, Ukraine has exported 31.7 million tons of grain and oilseeds. Although this figure is lower than last year, it is in line with this season’s harvest volumes and overall market trends.

This was reported by Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agri Council, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“To date, 31.7 million tons of grain and oilseeds have been exported. These figures are lower than last year, but this is due to the smaller harvest last season. Specifically, we are about 2.4 million tons behind the previous figures. Overall, however, with a new marketing year about to start in July, we will be able to export all the products we have planned for foreign markets,” he noted.

At the same time, he pointed out potential risks to uninterrupted exports.

“I don’t think there will be any delays unless the resolution on minimum export prices for food products becomes an obstacle. If our proposals are not taken into account, this could temporarily halt exports,” Marchuk added.
