Since February 24, 2022, Ukrainian mobile operators restore over 3,200 km of fiber optic lines and build over 1,500 base stations — State Service for Special Communications

During the all-out war, Ukrainian mobile operators have restored fiber optic lines, built and modernized base stations, and invested billions in network development. Yurii Shchyhol, Head of State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, mobile operators have restored more than 3,200 kilometers of fiber optic lines. In the conditions of war, operators build new base stations. More than 1,500 base stations have already been built. Energy independence is being reinforced and more than 8,000 base stations have been modernized. In 2022, mobile operators will invest at least UAH 8 billion in the development of mobile networks,” — Shchyhol said.
