Since 2014, more than 100 Ukrainian and foreign journalists have been illegally held captive by russia.

Oksana Romaniuk, Director of the Institute of Mass Information, made this statement during a press conference at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

“Since 2014, more than 100 journalists – both Ukrainian and foreign – have been in russian captivity. What russia is doing is obviously a crime. And I would say that this is a sign of the crime of genocide, since it involves filtering of citizens based on certain criteria. Effectively this is filtering of the civilian population,” Oksana Romaniuk noted.
