Why is this interesting?
In 2022, Crimea became not only a place of detention for political prisoners, but also a prison for people abducted by the russian military from the south of Ukraine. The previous year was also denoted by a new wave of persecution of Crimeans for their standing up for Ukraine.

Three out of four Ukrainians read news mainly on social media. And the majority of respondents prefer Telegram. However, it is in Telegram that russian propaganda feels most comfortable, because the content undergoes hardly any moderation.

Presentation and discussion of the topic “Why Is the Tax Reform Necessary and What Would Be the Point?”

Speaker: Rostyslav Shurma, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine

Why is this interesting?
The Office of the President of Ukraine, jointly with the Ministry of Economy and Deputies, works upon a draft tax reform that will drastically reduce the rates of most taxes and increase responsibility for their non-payment. The Speaker will talk about the experience of countries where similar tax reforms have already yielded results, and will also explain how the reform will affect the population of Ukraine, entrepreneurs and the State.
