  • Topic of focus:
  • Psychological rehabilitation of children;
  • Familiarizing Ukrainian children with Georgian history, culture, and traditions;
  • Development of “people’s” diplomacy between Ukrainian and Georgian children.

Why it is interesting:

The Black Sea Women’s Club NGO (Ukraine), together with the Alilo 2015 Charitable Foundation (Georgia) and the Make a Dream Come True and My Dad Defends Ukraine Charitable Foundations (Ukraine), is implementing the Children Want Peace social project in Ukraine.

The project was created in 2017 to provide moral and psychological support to Ukrainian children aged 10-16 whose parents are (or have been) defending the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as to develop “people’s” diplomacy and strengthen friendly relations between Georgian and Ukrainian children

The program of the children’s stay in Georgia is full of visits to historical sites, museums, theaters, natural monuments and objects under UNESCO protection, as well as a dolphinarium and an amusement park. The program includes patriotic events with veterans of the Russian-Georgian war. At the same time, children take part in master classes on cooking traditional Georgian cuisine, as well as in master classes on Georgian dances and songs.
