Russia is trying to drag Belarus into the war, but there is currently no troop buildup on the Belarusian border – State Border Guard Service of Ukraine 

Various military units are constantly being inspected on Belarusian territory, including in conjunction with Russia. Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center. 

“Combat readiness checks, joint exercises with Russia, and inspections of various units of the Belarusian army. There are only brief intervals when there is a pause. Currently, there are no additional Russian units on Belarusian territory that would pose a growing threat to our state. However, Russia is now actively pressuring Belarus to join the war against us with its own forces,” he said.

Andriy Demchenko emphasized that a new offensive or provocations at the border cannot be ruled out, so it is necessary to strengthen defenses and fortifications along the Belarusian border.
