russia holding at least 220 political prisoners from Crimea, Presidential representative says

russia is currently detaining at least 220 political prisoners from Crimea, according to the Office of the Presidential Representative in the peninsula.

All individuals accused of so-called “political crimes” are being held on russian territory, said Olha Kuryshko, Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.

“There are 220 known political prisoners from Crimea, most of whom are being held in russia,” Kuryshko said.
