SCHEDULE OF MEDIA CENTER UKRAINE – UKRINFORM EVENTS (8 KHMELNYTSKOHO ST., KYIV) FOR FEBRUARY 17

10:30 AM — Presentation of the analytical report entitled “The Crimean scenario: how the russian federation destroys the Ukrainian identity of children in the occupied territories”

— Mariia Sulialina, Project Manager at “Almenda Center for Civic Education” NGO
— Andrii Shchekun, representative of Regional Council of Ukrainians in Crimea, Coordinator of “Humanitarian Policy” group of “Crimea Platform” expert network

Why this is important:
russia’s military aggression against Ukraine and the war for the national consciousness of children began with the occupation of Crimea 9 years ago. Since the first days of the occupation, russia has used education to destroy Ukrainian identity and militarize children and the youth. After the full-scale invasion, russia further increased propaganda and militarization in Crimea, and also began to implement the already formed “Crimean model” into the education system in the newly occupied territories. The children remaining in the occupation are profoundly affected by propaganda every day.
