Resumption of e-declaration: Artem Sytnyk reports on changes and deadlines for submitting declarations

On October 12, Law No. 3384-IX on the resumption of declaration entered into force. Currently, there are in fact three declaration campaigns: for 2021, 2022 and 2023. Accordingly, there are key due dates for declarations for a certain periods to be submitted.

Artem Sytnyk, Deputy Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) made this statement during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform.

The NACP Deputy Head noted that the declaration campaign for 2021 and 2022 will end on January 31, 2024. The 2024 declaration campaign ends on March 31, 2024.

Artem Sytnyk also reported whether it is necessary to submit reports on significant changes in property status for the period that followed the large-scale invasion.

“Significant changes in property status for the period from February 24, 2022 till the date when the law resuming declaration enters into force don’t need to be reported. There is no such obligation. Changes in property status, which will occur after this law enters into force, are accordingly submitted on general terms, that is, within 10 days after it happens, which must be reported by submitting a notice of significant changes in property status,” he noted.

At the same time, the NACP Deputy Head announced a change in the deadlines for notifying about opening a foreign currency account.

“If we are talking of notifying about opening a foreign currency account, then the terms have changed here, and opening a foreign currency account is to be reported within 20 days after opening such an account. In addition, it is also not required that opening of accounts in the period from February 24 till the date when the law enters into force be reported,” he added.
